Communicate by Email
E-mail is now one of the most commonly used applications on a computer. It enables you to send a message to anyone with an email address, which they receive almost instantly, regardless of where they are in the world.
You may find it easier to use email than handwriting letters in order to:
- Keep in touch with friends and family in far away places. E-mail is generally quicker, cheaper and more reliable than the local postal service
- Send or receive pictures or documents. This is a favorite with people wanting regular updates on how things are growing (either grandchildren or plants depending on your family and interests)
- Send newsletter-style updates to friends and family. You can send the same e-mail to multiple people at the same time
- Reduce the repetition in personal communications. You can save time and energy because you keep a copy of everything that is sent out, so it’s easy to re-use text without having to rewrite it.
